Résumé

Nous proposons d’analyser une situation clinique dans une perspective de psychothérapie intégrative. Nous nous inscrivons dans le cadre de différentes approches : humaniste, psychodynamique, cognitive et comportementale, hypnose et EMDR. Dans ce contexte, nous présentons le parcours d’une patiente dont les réactions ont nécessité des aménagements du cadre thérapeutique et un changement de référentiel théorique. Nous sommes passés avec Mme Barnes d’un travail centré sur les cognitions et les comportements à une approche sensorielle et expérientielle par hypnose. La thérapie a initialement ciblé une symptomatologie anxieuse pour finalement se développer sur un versant existentiel intégrant la notion d’incertitude.

Abstract

We propose to analyse a clinical situation from the perspective of integrative psychotherapy. We are part of different approaches: humanist, psychodynamic, cognitive and behavioural, hypnosis and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). In this context, we present the journey of a patient whose reactions required adjustments to the therapeutic framework and a change in theoretical repository. We moved with Ms. Barnes from a work focused on cognitions and behaviors to a sensory and experiential approach with hypnosis. The therapy initially targeted an anxious symptomatology and eventually developed on an existential side incorporating the notion of uncertainty.
